the $harpe4life blog: origins
"$harpe·4·Life: Who are you beyond the dollar sign? What defines you when no one is looking? Life isn’t about a second act; it's about the actions you take now. Ask the right questions, be ready for the answers, and act — because action creates results. That’s the $harpe4Life Blog: moving forward, always in motion."
During my university years studying psychology, I delved into Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs, a model that shaped my understanding of human motivation. In 2020, I birthed the $harpe4Life Blog and Sharpe Women Community at my kitchen table when the world paused.
While many struggled, it gave us the space to ask more profound questions, take decisive action, and stay authentic. I circled back to Maslow’s theory, which became more than just a concept—it was a turning point in understanding and implementing foundational principles.
You see, to survive, we had to meet our physical needs, but to thrive, we had to elevate our mental health and navigate uncharted waters with resilience.
In today’s fast-paced, toxin-filled, distracted world, our foundations quickly crumble, keeping us from realizing our true potential.
Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs teaches us that we can ascend to self-actualization only by meeting our basic needs—physiological, safety, love, and esteem. These core principles are the foundation of my life, and I don’t leave them to chance. I invest in them intentionally because my full potential and everything I build rely on them.
This idea sparked the creation of this blog at my kitchen table during a global pause when many were searching for hope.
Sleep, Food, breath, shelter, love, confidence, relationships, and fulfillment are central themes of the $harpe4Life Blog and the Montreal Therapy Lifeline Center, which provides a secure MeetUp space to help every client create the changes and growth they seek, whether online or in person. I welcome you to MTL Center, which is coined the Wellness Hub.
It’s time to remove the excess and apparent clutter and focus on what truly matters. It’s time to reassess, redesign, and rejuvenate.
And this blog and Mtl. Center is here to help you do just that.
Traditional practices backed by modern research—my views on wellness, relationships, and mental health:
In today’s age of information overload, cutting-edge treatments, pharmaceuticals, and wellness fads, “health” has become unnecessarily complicated. But amidst all the noise, I’ve discovered that people are still hurting. For many, the pain is so familiar that they embody this emotion as comfort and remain stuck, believing that doing better is not plausible or worthy. I am here to let you in on a well-known secret. You are the master of your destiny, and I am here to help you create a new story instead of being the headline of pain in your own story.
One thing you should know about me: I don’t take myself too seriously. As a corporate director of education, I value academia, psychology, and scientific research in advancing society. As a Holistic Therapist/Relationship Strategist Coach, I understand that true healing involves the whole being—mind, body, and spirit—and trauma healing must honour this truth.
This rare skillset combination allows my science-loving, research-driven side to blend effortlessly with my instinctive, holistic approach to mental health, couples therapy coaching and healing.
You’ll often find me in that sweet grey area—I’m a book lover with an entire library of reads, but I can also dive into a Netflix series without hesitation. I nourish myself with healthy whole foods 80% of the time, but I embrace life’s sweetness, too. And by sweetness, I mean cheesecake and Sangria—delicious! I practice mindfulness regularly, but not by meditating for hours. I honour my body through movement, especially dance, and Zumba is my passion, but
I also respect when my body needs rest and the occasional break from weight training.
My vision of health is a alive, joyful, and thriving body, mind, and spirit. It’s about finding harmony between science and intuition, pain and pleasure in relationships, modern medicine and tradition, research and instinct. Holistic therapy and natural health offer balanced, robust solutions—affordable, therapeutic, gentle, and incredibly effective practices and solutions. My mission is to make them accessible and inspiring.
Because there’s no single path to wellness and healthy, happy relationships, dear friend, I aim to provide the guidance, tools, and wisdom to help you discover the “grey area” of holistic therapy that resonates with y-o-u.
If you’re tired of hurting and want to develop empowering habits that awaken your mind, body, and spirit’s innate healing, the $harpe4Life Blog is your source of information. MTL. Center is your online or in-person wellness hub for healing your relationships.

And I’m ready to show you how!
